We organise apprenticeships with local electrical companies who provide employment and ‘on the job’ training. ‘Off the job’ training is arranged through our own centre, based in Birmingham, on a block or day release.

NVQ3 FOR JIB GOLD CARD
Electrotechnical NVQ Level 3 for Practicing Operatives
Birmingham Electrical Training can provide the NVQ Level 3 (and AM2 if required) which includes the NVQ Level 3 portfolio and two onsite assessments for a total of £675.00 plus VAT provided the knowledge element is up to date (17th Edition) and can be evidenced via the relevant technical certificates.
Additional onsite assessments are charged at £250.00 plus VAT per assessment should they be required. The AM2 skills test is additional to the above at a cost of £561.00 plus VAT and may be required if applying for a JIB card. We can also provide a 2 day AM2 refresher which we highly recommend as this gives candidates a better chance of success for £250.00 plus VAT.
The above may apply to operatives who have worked in the electrical industry for many years and want to gain an electrical qualification.

Full time electrical tutor
Birmingham Electrical Training, a leading provider of electrical training in the West Midlands is seeking to recruit the following:-
Electrical tutor required to join friendly dedicated team of tutors to deliver theory and practical training to electrical apprentices. In addition delivery of a range of electrical short courses ie 17th Edition Wiring Regulations, Fundamental & Testing (C&G 2392), Inspection & Testing (2391), Logic PV and Portable Appliance Testing C&G 2377.
For this position you must possess a minimum of C&G Part 1 and 2 in electrical engineering and have served a recognised apprenticeship with recent industry experience in electrical engineering. Previous teaching experience is not essential as training will be provided. Successful applicants would be required to work towards a PTTLS teaching qualification and undertake a Criminal Records Bureau check.
Salary will depend on skills and experience, starting at £25K for those new to teaching.
Working hours will be 8.00 am – 4.30pm, Monday – Friday, with ¾ hr lunch and ¾ hr breaks.
